Tech was awesome this week because of the new art project and creating different types of paper planes. On Monday Whea Sarah wanted to introduce a new type of  art.  Graffiti art. (not graffiting on items) But drawing it in our books. But your probably thinking of graffiti words but its an amazingly talented man. His name is Keith haring. Search him up and have a look at his amazing art. Whea Sarah wanted it on the top windows so she gave people turns drawing on them. At S.T.E.A.M we created name tags to 3D print on an amazing printer. Our name tags had to be green but I was alright with that. Gene, Tamara and I had heaps of time left so we created these awesome jet looking planes and they went so far and glided through the air perfectly. And that was my Monday.

Our teacher wanted us to learn more about shapes and the sizes. But she didn’t want to spend 3 weeks just talking and being boring. Cause I know I wouldn’t pay attention at all. So she assigned  us with the shapes (Well we got to pick but if someone had the same shape we had to change)I was the 4th one to pick and I chose a heart. It was hard because everytime I searched up heart it came up with the heart in our bodies. So I always had to say the shape heart. I used white and red paper and a deep black to write down the information. I cut the red paper into a heart and also cutted out some squares and circles to write my information. I wrote everything down and glued it to my massive white peice of paper. I have all my information but I felt that I need more. so I grabbed some more red paper and glued it to the bottom of my white one so it was longer and I could add some more information. And BANG its done. Now I just have to present it to my class.

Circus. Neve , Amaya and I worked together to create cool performance to make the crowd wow. At first it was just me and Amaya and our performance was a bit boring but cool. Neve had nothing to do so I thought Neve could join us and make our performance even better! Me and Amaya did cartwheels while Neve had a ribbon swaying in the middle of us. Neve was still sorting her ribbon and we had started the performance. I started cracking up and Neve took after me. We were laughing for the whole performance until we just got up and did a cool trick when I got on there legs and did a trick. I looked so cooool. This was a love hate situation. But it was terribly awesome. When we were getting ready for the disco Amayas dog ran down the road and we had to chase them. There so naughty but nice. They are so cuddly and also interested in random things. Anyway we got ready and we left thinking the disco started and 5:15 so we were there and 5;20. 20 MINUTES EARLY but it was alright because we were taking photos and waiting for other friends. At the start it was sad but happy. You know? There were people dancing and some just sitting around. I was talking with my friends wait for my type of music to come on so I could dance. My friends just wanted to sit around so I found another group to dance with and I danced with them for the rest of the night. I was having the best time but then my mum was here to pick me up. ON THE BEST SONG. It’s fine though because I had such a awesome time. 

For tech  I finished my writing and drawing about Claude Monet. I took the drawing home and worked on it all afternoon and some of the night. Before I got the perfect sketch I restarted 3 times because I didn’t like the sketch. I think I want to add a background so I am going to bring it home with me today and draw a background. What should I do for my background?  The picture is filled with flowers and the table/vase is checkerd. The flowers are all different colours and pop out. My writing took me two days to accomplish. The first day I did my research and put it in my book to practice handwriting and to know what I was gonna write. After I did all of that I put it on a A3 peice of paper. I did my famous artists name and started writing. I finished it the next day.

On Monday I Wasn’t here because  I had lots of muscle pain, sore in my stomach and a sore throat. Those were terrible days. I wasn’t doing my best. On Tuesday I came to school feeling really tired and still feeling ill. But I pushed through and I kept a smile on my face. We also had my favorite lunch so I was happy about that. Wednesday we had circus and I was so pumped for it. We got to circus and we started off with juggling. Me Amaya , Pia, Neve, Gracie, Rose and thea are doing a group dance to do Infront of the whole school. We have to finish it in 2 weeks! I don’t know if we can do it but it doesn’t hurt to beleive. On Thursday we did some cool but complicated math and after we went swimming. I LOVE swimming its the best part of the day. Then Friday. Today we did our spelling check. Later we will be doing science about earthquackes.

Today we did swimming sports. I was petrified. As we were waiting I had butterfly’s and felt sick. But I calmed myself down and had some food while watching the little kids race. They were so competitive. I put my togs underneath my cloths because I was only thinking about swimming. The kids were done and the teachers got a 10-15 minutes brake because they must’ve been starving. At 11:30 it was time for us to get on the seats and wait for our tuen. I was group 3. SPLASH! I dived and all I could hear was yelling when I took a breath. I was panicking and swallowed water. I kept pushing until the last lap. realized I came last so I was just walking to the end to catch a breath. I was breathing so fast and my legs were in pain. I was doing backstroke and swallowed like a whole cup of water. and I was in pain from the last three laps. I was last again. But I was waiting for breaststroke. I knew I was good at it and gave it my all. I swallowed water but I didn’t care I kept pushing. I dont know if I came 1st or 2nd they didn’t tell me. But I’m still happy that I came a place in something!!

Tech starts in the morning and end’s in the afternoon.  We all started sorting out all the year six’s who has to go to whea meg’s class. The year seven’s had to go to whea sarah’s class. Instead of going straight to tech we do drawing with whea sarah. We started with our favrouite place with your name over, Tim bertens selfies and some cool circle drawings. What I mean by circle drawings is, there are circles different sizes that overlap, You put yoou’re own different designs in each circle and at the end your colour the whole background black and it looks awesome.We started our art and it was lunch. After lunch we got to figure out what group we were in. I was in cooking and I was so happy. We walked up with our tech books and got told the rules. We found out we were making banana piklets and we got started.We had used half of our batter and tamara had to go. we gave her 4 because we didn’t know how much we were gonna make. We made 22 more. Me and Audrey got 11 each. it was so funny and the funny thing is, Tamara doesn’t even know… I am so excited for tech next week.

This week we started with circus. I didn’t know how or what to do but I gave it a try. We started with 1 ball, then 2 and then 3! I was struggling a lot but it was a ball after a while. I still didn’t get the hang of it though. We moved on to scarfs. We picked 2 colors. I picked white and pink because they matched. It was like juggling but it was slower, so it was easier. But then I moved onto 3 and it was way harder. I struggled but I was laughing a lot because it kept hitting other people arm. We moved onto plates and it started terrible. But I got the hang of it and won the balancing  challenge. At the end I was disappointed because we had to leave. So I’m looking forward for it next Wednesday.

Today we write letters to other schools and asked queastions about the bike track so we were sure what we were doing.

We did tones of math and worked so hard but the last two always HIT me.

We did writing about what grade we think would match and why.

Before we are doing free time and doing art like tukutuku and other stuff.

Now im reflecting and helping my friend amaya.

Hi, my name is Scarlett.

My graduate profile is, I can reflect in the afternoon without forgetting.

Currently I forget to reflect and i dont useallly get to it.

My options includes, being remined either by the teacher or a class mate. Put a card in my tottray that says “reminder do your reflection” or set a timer at 2;00pm to do my reflection.

I have decied to pick being remined by a class mate or the teacher.

By the 3rd week I will have remembered to do my reflection so that i dont have to be remined the reast of school weeks.
